This image helps represent what the World's Largest Snowdome will look like.
Glick International has completed all engineering drawings and has manufactured a 1/10 scale working Proof of Concept model.
Glick International's Snowdome provides an inspired and delicious commentary on popular culture's passion for the aura of Great Art. The Snowdome places special objects in a wondrous space removed from the humdrum ordinariness of everyday reality. The Snowdome's appeal is that the familiar becomes the spectacular. The familiarity of a little souvenir Snowdome, where a whole universe can fit into the palm of your hand, is suddenly transformed into an artwork that is totally huge and out of scale with anything a person has ever experienced before. The type of artwork placed inside the Snowdome can range from outrageous contemporary sculptures to valued historical paintings commissioned performance works or intriguing Museum curiosities. The combined effect of recontextualising artworks by placing them inside the Snowdome is spectacular.
