A stacked house for an artist with a studio on the ground floor, the living area above, and displacing the conventioal backyard, a roof terrace on top. In the rawness, toughness and industrial box- like differentness of this building, there is an avoidance of the safe comfort to be found in aspects of surburban living and the suggestion of another way to live.
