Powder coated Steel and Wood
Two structures of steel and wood are located on each platform. They mirror in dimension the footbridges that existed at this station from 1897.
The artwork extends the wooden footbridge bases with golden steel forms, visually connecting the wooden uprights across the railway. The steel is positioned at the height of the original landing, and at the highest point of the footbridge, to represent the former structure. Gold marks the transition from reality to the idealised art forms, representing the beauty of everyday objects.
